Killing Sprees (also known as killstreaks or sprees) are achieved when you get 3, 6, and 9 kills without dying. They are separated into Killing Spree, Killing Machine, and Legendary respectively. When going on a killing spree, it will be announced to every player, your bounty will increase, and the in-game music will be replaced (only to you) with a remix of your Naut's theme song. Your killing spree ends once you are killed, but can be gained again by getting the required number of kills.
There are team killing sprees as well. These are achieved when a team kills 5, 10 and 15 enemy Awesomenauts without any of their own teammates dying. These are separated into Dominating, Dominating (differentiated from the first one by the message "Red/Blue team is still dominating!") and AWESOME! respectively. When a team gets to AWESOME! its members will hear the Awesomenauts main theme. Even if one of your teammates dies, the song will continue until it ends or you die.
Bounties[ | ]
When you're on a killing spree, it will add a bounty to you. A bounty increases the amount of Solar the enemy team receives when you die by 40, to a total of 140 (60 to the killer, 40 to both teammates). Going AWESOME! doesn't add a bounty (although a least one of your teammates needs to be on a Killing Spree for an AWESOME! to be possible).

- Penny Fox was the first character who's spree doesn't flow into the map theme it's a remix of. Instead, it just stops.
- When characters are in beta before their music added to the game, the game will play a random map theme when you get a killing spree.
- Nibbs' killing spree theme was the first not to be a mix between her main theme and a map theme, instead only being a remix of her main theme. Ronimo Games stated[1] that this change was because the map remixes were limiting for Sonic Picnic, the company behind the music in Awesomenauts.
- 'Nauts who receive updated music keep the remixed map theme in their killing spree, although they now stop instead of flowing into the actual song.
